dj BEARDiE (aka Gareth Beard)
BIO: I am a UK based drum and bass DJ with 10 years of experience, favouring the darker sides of music including DnB, Breaks and UK-Hip Hop.Live performances include having played alongside high profile artists including, Grooverider, Ez Rollers, The Scratch Perverts, Red One, Swanee and Andy C. Also residencies for Impact, Fission, Its all Good, Funky Styles, and of course with the rest of the Impact crew, Rowley, Jynxx, Joker, Joz and the Diverted boys.
Summer 2005 saw a step into the international scene, playing for Leet Radio in Copenhagen, Denmark. See some of the pictures in the Reviews page. The next installment happened in June 2006 and again in 2007 (more to come in 2008). My history in the scene began way back in the early nineties as a young teenager, bagging my way into raves to see the likes of Slipmat, Dougal, Randal and Grooverider. I started DJ'ing soon after. Work-to-date includes the formation of both Fission Recordings and Impact Records. Creation and event management of live events for both these imprints, some live sound engineering, web design and prolific radio shows.
